Ceylon Indulgasinna "Blue Nettle" is a truly unique tea. The tea leaves are tightly twisted by hand into bundles resembling small cigars. This way of twisting the leaves means that enzymatic oxidation of such a twisted bud occurs gradually and is dependent on the access of oxygen - a small amount of oxygen reaches the inside of the tightly twisted bundle and the degree of oxidation is the least and the outer part is well exposed to oxygen and oxidation can take place even 100% .
Thus, in one twist we have three teas and therefore the resulting infusion shows the characteristics of white, oolong and black teas.
